Thank you very much indeed to you, Gemma, the chef and team and all the staff at The Boot for a most enjoyable day on Saturday. Everything was just perfect! The quality and presentation of the food was first class. Every single guest enjoyed every single course… and we had quite a few real “foodies “ there. That takes some doing! A lot of people had travelled long distances and we were so proud to show off our local “gem” to them all. We think our more local friends will become regular visitors to The Boot, having now discovered you! The wines were all perfect and the service was absolutely lovely. The venue for a party of our size and nature was superb. It’s a beautiful room and the men loved the traditional pub setting for a beer beforehand. Nothing was too much trouble and staff were so kind and helpful. We were so happy that everything went so well.

Please can you formally record and acknowledge to your staff at The Boot how wonderful they were to us in every aspect. We had a wonderful night’s stay with dinner and breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and your staff went over and above the call of expectations to ensure everything was perfect for us. I have to follow a very strict gluten free diet (not through choice I may add) and your staff ensured all was magical for me. The roast cod loin was so moist and succulent… yum yum. We hadn’t realised quite how near to home the area around you is, nor indeed your restaurant. We have a had a fabulous few days walking and will definitely be returning. Thank you very much.

Nick and I wanted to say a HUGE Thank You to you and your team for running an amazing day for us!! We had the best day ever. James, Adam, Emma, Chef’s and team went above and beyond for us, they’re service and food was amazing - friendly, helpful, just perfect. The comments we’ve had from guests about the venue and the food have been amazing. I’ve had at least 3 couples so far tell me it’s the best wedding reception they’ve been to. And the best pie they’ve ever had :) An extra special thanks to Adam and Emma. I dropped a horseshoe pot gift and smashed it as I arrived. They glued it together and framed it for me on the night! You have a brilliant team, please pass on both our thanks and best wishes. And of course we’ll be back for dinner again very soon!

Thank you so much - we came for Sunday lunch yesterday. The staff were friendly, full of smiles -it was a complete joy to see so many youngsters doing an absolutely brilliant job. Our meal was so delicious - the perfect sizes, presented beautifully and very very delicious! Thank you also for assisting with my request for a quieter table - my mum refuses to wear a hearing aid and being in the back room allowed us chance to catch up - she could hear our conversation and the teams were brilliant at communicating and made her feel welcome and special. We travelled up from Bath to take my mum out and will definitely be returning - you are doing a brilliant job - keep up the good work and whoever trains the youngsters also needs a special mention. The staff where so welcoming and professional, greeted with a lovely smile and we where allowed to decorate the table with birthday wishes and flowers for the table a total surprise for the Birthday girl. Sandwiches, cakes, tea, wine and coffee - excellent presentation and so fresh. I have celebrated in London Afternoon Tea at the Ritz and at the Wolsey and can say the Boot knocked them out of the park. She had a lovely time and enjoyed so much thanks to all the staff, who sent us home with yummy boxes of cakes we could not get through as so many. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and cannot wait to book again. Thank you so much.

We really enjoyed our stay, and although the booking had to be moved twice because of COVID restrictions the staff were very accommodating and honoured the deal we had already booked on. The location was great, Repton is a really pretty village with good access to the Peak District. The Room was lovely spacious and tastefully decorated (the bed was also super-comfortable). There was a good choice of meals including breakfast, with good quality ingredients. Staff were outstanding, everyone we came into contact with was helpful and friendly. Overall a really lovely stay.

We’re BCN from a most delicious breakfast at the Boot with our dear friends Councillor & Mrs. Philip Ingall. The food was excellent & the service superb.
